Golden Crowned Cranes in the Ngorongoro Crater
Anna saw many of these stunning Golden Crowned Cranes (also known as the Grey Crowned Crane, or African Crane) in the Ngorongoro Crater when she went to Tanzania in late 2022.
They have wonderful breeding displays of dancing, bowing and jumping and are the national bird of Uganda.
The original work was painted from her sketches and photographs in gouache on canvas.
Limited to an edition of 250, with a limited edition certificate of authenticity.

A limited edition archival print created with rich pigment ink on a beautiful acid free watercolour paper, Hahnemuhle German Etching 310gsm rag.
> Your print will arrive with a certificate of authenticity detailing your edition number.
> Each size of print includes a white border around the actual image, which makes it easier for you to frame.
> Your print will arrive unframed.
> Although the ink is lightfast and the paper acid free, we would still recommend that you don't hang it in a place where it will receive continuous direct sun light, as this could fade the print over time.
> If you are going to hang the print in an area with a lot of natural light, we would recommend framing it with anti UV glass (which usually costs around £20 extra).
We think it's worth taking extra care when shipping your print, so we do charge shipping, but we cover some of the costs ourselves as well!
> Your print will arrive in a hard cardboard envelope or roll, carefully wrapped in acid free tissue paper.

The Nuttall's Woodpecker
Inspired by the male Nuttall's Woodpecker, this delightful image is a woodpecker with a rebellious streak!
It was named after the English Ornithologist and Botanist Thomas Nuttall in 1843, but is primarily found in the oak woodlands of California. So you might think they eat acorns, but in fact they eat insects, with the occasional bit of fruit.
The original work was painted in gouache on canvas.

The Hoopoe
Back in 2022 this was the very first painting in which Anna used gouache instead of her usual inks. She loved the medium so much that she has painted in it ever since.
Hoopoes are mainly in Africa and India, but during the Spring migration you can sometimes spot them along the UK's South Coast. Their lovely name is actually an onomatopoeia of their call!
The original work was painted in gouache on coloured paper.

The Scarlett Ibis
The Scarlett Ibis is at least 60 million years old! Their brilliant colour comes from carotene found in the crustaceans on which they feed. The male and female birds both take it in turns to look after their young.

The Sunbird
Anna quite simply fell in love with the stunning rich colours of the Malachite Sunbird contrasted with the softer pinks of the protea where it often feeds.
Interestingly the male Malachite Sunbird only has the beautiful green plumage when it's breeding. The rest of the time it's feathers turn brown, apart from the wings and tail!
The original work was painted in gouache on coloured board.

A beautiful limited edition print, made to last
An archival print of Anna's original pen and ink painting of a hummingbird, created with ink on watercolour paper.
A symbol of strength and perseverance
Anna originally created this painting after visiting San Francisco and being entranced by a tiny hummingbird flying up to the window where she was working. She was delighted and inspired by the stunning colours and their reputation for extraordinary strength and perseverance while flying long distances, despite their tiny size. This reflected a particular need for strength and perseverance in Anna's own life at the time and so these beautiful hummingbirds have become an important symbol in Anna's work.Need it quickly?

A limited edition archival print created with rich pigment ink on a beautiful acid free watercolour paper, Hahnemuhle German Etching 310gsm rag.
> Your print will arrive with a certificate of authenticity detailing your edition number.
> Each size of print includes a 5cm white border around the actual image, which makes it easier for you to frame.
> Your print will arrive in a hard cardboard roll, carefully wrapped in acid free tissue paper.

A limited edition archival print, created with rich pigment ink on a beautiful heavy weight watercolour paper, made to order for you in East London, England
Anna originally painted this picture as a homage to a stunning Robinia tree that used to grow at the bottom of her parents' garden in London. However dull the day, the glowing citrus leaves used to make the garden feel as though it was bathed in sunshine. Sadly, one year many of the Robinia trees in London caught a virus and died. Anna's mother was heartbroken, but this painting allows the beautiful tree to live on in their hearts.

This reflected a particular need for strength and perseverance in Anna's own life at the time and so these beautiful hummingbirds have become an important symbol in Anna's work.

A sacred symbol of endurance, peace and love
The Ginkgo Biloba is the oldest surviving species of tree known to exist and some individual trees are thought to be more than 3000 years old! As such, they are the subject of great veneration in the East. They are considered a sacred tree symbolising strength, endurance, the unity of opposites, bearers of hope and symbols of love. Six Ginkgo trees even survived the nuclear bomb on Hiroshima in 1945 and one of these now stands in the Peace Park and has been named the 'bearer of hope', with prayers of peace engraved on its bark.
The original work was painted in pen, ink and coloured pencil on plastered board.

A limited edition archival print, created with rich pigment ink on a beautiful heavy weight watercolour paper, made to order for you in East London, England
Originally inspired by fallen autumn leaves outside Anna's Camberwell house, the original Urban Fall painting developed over 7 years and Anna finally finished it in 2013. Through it she explores the beauty in the leaves past their prime, ageing and yet more colourful. Layers have been added, then rubbed away, a more luminous ink added, some washed in white and the process continues until layers and layers of history, colour, lines and wear create a whole that is perhaps more beautiful than a single perfect young leaf.
Urban Fall in Spring is part one of 4 seasonal prints created from the original painting and recolourised to reflect the freshness and burgeoning life of spring emerging from the ravages of winter.
