Anna's original framed painting in gouache on paper

Only shipping to London postcodes | Or collection from South East London

      The Roseate Spoonbill
Roseate spoonbills are so called because of the rose colour of their feathers. Interestingly, they're actually born with straight beaks and the spoon shape at the end only develops as they mature. Did you know that a group of Spoonbills is called a Bowl - a Bowl of Spoonbills!

Anna's original framed painting in gouache on board

Only shipping to London postcodes | Or collection from South East London

      A reimagined bird of paradise
Anna became fascinated by birds of paradise while she was researching her trip to Tanzania in the Spring of 2022. The Paradise Flycatchers are small birds with an array of quite stunning tails, that make beautiful shapes as they fly.

The Rose Flycatcher started life as a faithful illustration of a blue headed Paradise flycatcher, but as she developed the painting, she was drawn to painting a softer, prettier version in rose pink, which simply made her smile as she imagined it flitting through the trees and forests.

      The Nuttall's Woodpecker
The Nuttall's woodpecker was named after the English Ornithologist and Botanist Thomas Nuttall in 1843, but is primarily found in the oak woodlands of California. So you might think they eat acorns, but in fact they eat insects, with the occasional bit of fruit.

The original work was painted in gouache on canvas.
