A limited edition archival print, created with rich pigment ink on a beautiful heavy weight watercolour paper, made to order for you in East London, England

A sacred symbol of endurance, peace and love
The Ginkgo Biloba is the oldest surviving species of tree known to exist and some individual trees are thought to be more than 3000 years old! As such, they are the subject of great veneration in the East. They are considered a sacred tree symbolising strength, endurance, the unity of opposites, bearers of hope and symbols of love. Six Ginkgo trees even survived the nuclear bomb on Hiroshima in 1945 and one of these now stands in the Peace Park and has been named the 'bearer of hope', with prayers of peace engraved on its bark.

The original work was painted in pen, ink and coloured pencil on plastered board.

Limited to an edition of 250.

      Available in three sizes

    • A limited edition archival print created with rich pigment ink on a beautiful acid free watercolour paper, Hahnemuhle German Etching 310gsm rag.

      > Your print will arrive with a certificate of authenticity detailing your edition number.

      > Each size of print includes a 5cm white border around the actual image, which makes it easier for you to frame.

      > Your print will arrive unframed.

      > Although the ink is lightfast and the paper acid free, we would still recommend that you don't hang it in a place where it will receive continuous direct sun light, as this could fade the print over time.

      > If you are going to hang the print in an area with a lot of natural light, we would recommend framing it with anti UV glass (which usually costs around £20 extra).

    • We think it's worth taking extra care when shipping your print, so we do charge shipping, but we cover some of the costs ourselves as well!

      > Your print will arrive in a hard cardboard roll, carefully wrapped in acid free tissue paper.
